Pertubuhan Perkhidmatan Sosial dan Pembangunan Komuniti Daerah Gombak, Selangor (PSPK)

Since its establishment in 2006, PSPK has been dedicated to uplifting underprivileged communities and promoting sustainable development. Over the years, PSPK has implemented numerous initiatives, positively impacting the lives of thousands of individuals and contributing to the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

PSPK’s holistic approach focuses on four core areas: community development, women empowerment, children education, and economic restoration. Through a range of programs and projects, PSPK aims to empower women and children, providing them with the necessary skills and support to realize their dreams and transform their lives. PSPK’s centers, including the Community Service Centre, Women Development Centre, Sewing Training Centre, Bakery Training Centre, and more, serve as crucial hubs for training, empowerment, and community engagement.

With a strong emphasis on sustainability, PSPK recognizes that development without long-term viability holds limited value. To address this, PSPK has implemented income generation and sustainability projects that enable women to achieve financial independence while simultaneously fostering community growth. These initiatives not only uplift individuals but also contribute to the larger community’s well-being.

Till now, PSPK has facilitated more than 16,500 individuals through 2,000 programs and projects. These efforts have resulted in the creation of 785 entrepreneurship and employability opportunities, further empowering individuals to become agents of change in their communities. PSPK’s tireless dedication, guided by principles of love, stewardship, effectiveness, people-centric approach, and innovativeness, continues to transform lives, strengthen families, and create prosperous, inclusive, and resilient communities.

PSPK’s work exemplifies the power of NGOs in driving sustainable development and showcases the significance of collaborative partnerships in achieving the SDGs. By applying for the JCIM Sustainable Development Award, PSPK seeks to shine a spotlight on their accomplishments and inspire others to join in the journey towards a more prosperous and sustainable world.
