Lost World of Tambun is an eco- adventure packed park, we have always been about education and fun for all ages, aspiring to make “green” and “fun” one word! We have many activities bringing more awareness toward “green“ living or Life on Land!

Every year we celebrate Earth Hour as an awareness campaign for guests and staff to go beyond the hour and go the extra mile to help save the earth together.

What impact has this project created in the community/nation?

We on embody “life on land” as one of Lost World Of Tambun main SDG. Some impact to our community and nation occurs via a few of projects listed below:

  1. Lost World Junior Rangers – This is a program to develop young ones to interact and be one with nature.
  2. Stop Hunger Now
  3. Do Good Feel Good

Who were the partners in this project and what their roles?

We work with partners for some of our campaign but most of the campaigns are done internally and marketed by Lost World Of Tambun.

Some partners we worked with in past years for some of the campaigns:

  • Children’s Wish Society
  • Stop Hunger Now / Rise Against Hunger
  • Earth Hour
  • Salvation Army Girls and Boys Ipoh
  • Rumah Anak Yatim Darul Salam

How was this project help to advance the chosen SDG?

Life on Land is about – Protecting, restoring and promoting sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, and halt and reverse land degradation. The theme park is the perfect example of reverse degradation, where it was a mining wasteland, and we also protect our caves / hot springs sources and plants. We are on a progressive journey to help reduce our carbon footprint.

How did this project create impact to the employees/ volunteers?

LWOT is all about fun education! So we all enjoy working on our campaigns advocating green practices and showcasing “Life on Land”.

We embody green practices wherever we can, and have open conversations on event performances. We look forward to working together to make our events fun and successful.
